This is Michael Connelly's fifth appearance on the show. Mr. Connelly and I discuss THE OVERLOOK, published by Little, Brown.
THE OVERLOOK began as a serial installment in The New York Times Sunday Magazine last year. Mr. Connelly discusses the challenges of having to meet a 2,500-3,000 word count each week.
When the sixteen week period was finished Mr. Connelly took the story and fleshed it out into the new Harry Bosch novel. THE OVERLOOK is a page turner and is difficult to put down. Harry Bosch has a new partner in THE OVERLOOK. I continue to be amazed at the body of work Mr. Connelly is creating.
We also discuss two of Mr. Connelly’s Hollywood projects. The first is the film version of LINCOLN LAWYER, the bestseller novel featuring Mickey Haller. The second is a screenplay that he is writing with Terrill Lee Lankford based on the 1980’s TV show THE EQUALIZERS. Enjoy!
