Alberto Urrea
THE
HUMMINGBIRD'S DAUGHTER, written by Luis Alberto Urrea, is one of
the most enjoyable novels
that I have read in the past couple of years.
It
chronicles the life of Teresita, a woman who lives in Mexico during
the days of Porfirio Diaz. Teresita has been given extraordinary
powers that develop as she matures.
The novel
is filled with colorful characters and beautiful prose.
If you are looking for something truly different you will love THE
HUMMINGBIRD'S DAUGHTER.
This is Part One of my interview with Mr. Urrea. Part Two will air in
September.
I hope you
enjoy our conversation.
