Imagine getting a call from an editor at Random House asking you to submit a proposal to write a sequel to The Godfather.  This is exactly what happened to Mark Winegardner. 

He submitted the proposal and was ultimately chosen to write The Godfather Returns, currently available in paperback. 

During the interview Mark talks about the challenges he faced continuing the Puzo legacy, and the incredible time pressure he worked under. I hope you enjoy it.
