This week’s guest is Thomas H Cook, author of THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING, recently published by Harcourt. 

This is Mr. Cook’s third appearance on the show. In June, 2005 we discussed RED LEAVES (which is currently available in trade paperback from Harvest Books). 

RED LEAVES was a finalist in the best mystery category of last year’s Edgar Awards. THE CLOUD OF UNLOWING mines similar veins. 

It explores the dynamics of schizophrenia and the devastating effects it has on a family. The story is multi-layered and the characters are fully developed. Mr. Cook is writing at the top of the game and we should all be grateful for books like this. Enjoy!
