My first guest in January is Tom Bailey. We discuss Mr. Bailey’s first novel THE GRACE THAT KEEPS THIS WORLD, published by Shaye Areheart Books. The novel began as an award winning short story. SNOW DREAMS. The short story was published in Double Take magazine in 1999. I found the story of how Mr. Bailey turned his story into a novel fascinating, and I think you will too.  

THE GRACE THAT KEEPS THIS WORLD is the story of the Hazen family, and how they, and the small community where they live, deal with a tragedy. The structure of the novel pulls the reader into the story by telling the story through the use of many narrators. The way Mr. Bailey tells the story offers readers the chance to understand life in the small town where the story takes place.
